Coleman Generators
The Coleman name has long been trusted as a leading provider of quality outdoor and home leasure products. The Powermate® line of home
generator products extends that reputation by providing quality home generators, contractor jobsite, and home backup generator products.
Product Line Description
Under the Coleman name there are two distinct product marketing groups: Powermate®,, which supplies portable generators, and
PowerStation® which supplies a line of home standby generators, sometimes called "home backup generators". Coleman offerings
are targeted primarly at the homeowner market with some products for the contractor / jobsite market. Many of the Coleman generators are powered by Honda gas engines and they do not attempt to market diesel generators.
PowerStation®, Home Backup Generators
The Coleman line of home backup generators have a generation capacity ranging from 10,000 watts to 25,000 watts.
These units are connected to your home (or small business) via a Coleman automatic power transfer switch and are capable of running
a range of applicances. All of these models can operate on either liquid propane (LP) or natural gas. The largest model is powered
by a 4 cylinder, liquid cooled, Ford engine running at 1800 rpm for longer life and quite operation.

Company Information
The Coleman company has been around since 1900 and has historicly been associated with the camping and outdoor products industry.
In 1987 Coleman established its generator division into a seperate subsidary and incorporated into it a new accquisition "Ag-Tronic"
which was an established producer of farm generator equipment. The new subsidary was named Powermate® and continued operations as
a seperate subsidary after the 1998 acquisition of the Coleman company by the Sunbeam Corporation. In 2000 Coleman Powermate established
a new Division and launched the PowerStation® emergency backup power systems product line.
Sunbeam Corporation filed for bankruptcy protection in February 2001 and was subsequently purchased by American Household Inc. (AHI),
a privately held corporation. In January of 2005 Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH), a leading provider of niche branded consumer products,
acquired American Household, Inc. for $745.6 million in cash for the equity and the assumption or repayment of
indebtedness. American Household is the parent of The Coleman Company, Inc. and Sunbeam Products, Inc., leading producers of global consumer
products through the BRK®, Campingaz®, Coleman®, First Alert®, Health o meter®, Mr. Coffee®, Oster® and Sunbeam® brands.
Jarden Corporation is a global provider of market leading branded consumer products used in and around the home marketed
under many well-known global brand names. Jarden operates through four business segments: Branded Consumables,
Consumer Solutions, Outdoor Solutions and Other. Headquartered in Rye, NY, Jarden has over 9,000 employees worldwide and produced
